A Simple Nervous System Resetting Tool
In this video, Angela explains the power of resetting your nervous system by aligning with/connecting to nature. It could be a forest, a tree or even a plant in your window. Nature is one of the most powerful resetting tools and studies show the ripple effect is incredibly beneficial.
Done regularly, these types of resets help to remind your body that it is safe and to help shift it from "fight or flight" survival state, into a more restful parasympathetic state.
This is essential during midlife (perimenopause and menopause) as the body uses the adrenal glands to produce hormones like estrogen and testosterone post-menopause. And if you are in a constant state of stress, you're producing more cortisol and fewer of these other hormones. This can lead to many of the symptoms we commonly associate with menopause such as: hot flashes, insomnia, exhaustion, anxiety, depression, brain fog, and more.
And although these may be common, they are not inevitable.
This video offers a very simple grounding technique using the power of nature.
